TASHBEEK Project
EsTAbliSHing female academic networks
a pathway for Better addressing and managing womEn undEr-representation in senior leadership ranKs in Egyptian universities (TASHBEEK, تشبيك )
Why TASHBEEK is important?
Government policies related to leadership in higher education may also lack specific gender equity provisions or face challenges in effective enforcement. Therefore, the establishment of networks for female academic leaders, bolstered by supportive government policies and initiatives in Egypt, represents a critical step toward achieving gender equality within higher education. Such networks empower women to excel in leadership roles and collectively advocate for a just and equitable academic landscape, fostering inclusivity and driving positive societal and economic outcomes for the nation.
